Carl views himself as the child of two black sheep who has taken the best from his parents–his father’s intellectual aptitude and his mother’s plea for a better humanity. Their influence fosters the life-giving, legacy-building mission that Carl embodies. Carl aims to be a global citizen. He has lived on four continents and traveled to 40+ countries.
Today, Carl is the Vice President of Information Technology at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. He leads a team of IT professionals who serve 8K+ youth across 27 locations in 10 counties. His work at BGCMA includes unleashing the power of information and technology for today’s youth. Carl’s work provides access to AI, Cybersecurity, content creation, podcasts, and other skills. Carl is a champion for digital equity.
Carl holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.Div. in Hebrew Bible from the Charles Harrison Mason Theological Seminary at Interdenominational Theological Center, and an M.B.A. from Emory University, Goizueta Business School. He is pursuing his D. Min from Emory University, Candler School of Theology.
Carl utilizes his spare time to cook, volunteer, and collect cufflinks. Carl celebrates life with his wife, Karen, and their dog, Jackson.
