Scientist, Educator, Advocate

Dr. Edwin Reyes’ scientific background spans many aspects of health-related research including immunology, cancer biology, and AI.

His passion for science literacy has led him to teach high school and college students across the United States, including De Anza High School, San Francisco State University, Bard College, University of Chicago, and Harvard Medical School. He has also mentored, advised, and supported students at Harvard College.

Dr. Reyes’ appreciation for the many that have supported him throughout his academic and professional journey compelled him to give back to under-resourced communities in many ways, including community speaking and volunteering at community centers in Oakland, CA, Chicago, IL, and Boston, MA, along with working on pro bono, community-based projects for management consulting firms.

For college, Dr. Reyes attended Contra Costa Community College and California State University, East Bay. He went on to complete a Post-Baccalaureate at the Mayo Clinic, and eventually earned a Master in Biomedical Informatics from Harvard Medical School and a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Chicago.
