Dr. Chika O. Okafor is the Founder of Todaydream. He has served in public service and private sector leadership roles spanning local, national, and international issues. In his hometown, he managed an arm of the Chicago Public School’s “Culture of Calm” initiative, tasked with improving school climate and reducing student victims of gun violence. Dr. Okafor has worked as a business consultant in Chicago with McKinsey & Company, as a lawyer with a global law firm in London, as a fellow in the White House, and as a human rights lawyer with both the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France, and with the Simon-Skjodt Center for the Prevention of Genocide in Washington DC. He has previously taught at Harvard Law School and pursues research at the intersection of law, economics, and public policy.
Dr. Okafor is a graduate of the Chicago Public Schools for elementary, middle, and high school. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, his JD from Yale Law School, and his undergraduate degree from Stanford University. In his spare time, Dr. Okafor enjoys performing spoken word performance poetry, as well as supporting his hometown Chicago Bears.
